154 Performance Company

At 154 Dance Project, the “154 Performance Company" is a competition & performance program designed for dancers ages 5 and older (five year olds in the "Mini Mover Program" only) who demonstrate a strong commitment to their training, positive character, and a desire to perform beyond the recreational level.

Participation in this program is by invitation only.

Invitations are extended after the first 6 to 8 weeks of classes based on each dancer's overall readiness—not simply their age or ability. Our instructors carefully evaluate dancers using a variety of factors, including:

• Attendance and punctuality

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

• Work ethic and effort in class

• Technical growth and skill development

• Ability to work respectfully with teammates

• Performance quality and stage presence

• Commitment to representing 154 Dance Project with excellence

Dancers selected for the “154 Performance Company” continue training in their regular "Performance Prep” classes while participating in additional rehearsals, performances, and selected regional competitions. This allows dancers to build strong technical foundations while gaining valuable performance experience.

There are no formal auditions for new dancers. Instead, our instructors observe dancers throughout the first 6 to 8 weeks of classes and invite those who consistently demonstrate the dedication, maturity, and readiness needed for the program.

Parents of invited dancers will receive detailed information regarding rehearsal schedules, competitions, tuition, costumes, and program expectations before accepting an invitation.

Rehearsal schedule is tentatively the 1st, 4th, and 5th Saturday of every month once invitations are extended!

Our Philosophy

We believe every dancer deserves the opportunity to grow at their own pace. Our invitation-based approach encourages dancers to develop confidence, discipline, and strong technical skills before taking on the additional commitment of competitive dance.

Every dancer at 154 Dance Project is valued, encouraged, and given opportunities to succeed. The “154 Performance Company” simply provides an additional pathway for dancers who are ready to take the next step in their training and performance journey.
