Aprell Arthur, Founder/Director
Ms. Aprell began her dance journey at the young age of 2.5, quickly showing a natural talent and passion for movement. She soon entered the competitive dance world, gaining early stage experience and recognition for her performances.
She went on to attend Marygrove College in Detroit, MI, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance and Business. During her college years, she studied under numerous esteemed dance professors and guest artists, further refining her technique and artistry.
Throughout and after college, Ms. Aprell performed with a few professional and local dance companies. At the same time, she continued teaching dance within her church’s dance ministry (Springhill Missionary Baptist Church) as well as began teaching and choreographing at various schools and studios across the Metro Detroit area. She also served as Assistant Coach for a high school Varsity Dance Team in Farmington Hills for two years, helping shape young dancers into strong performers and competitors.
In January 2018, Ms. Aprell founded The 154 [dance] project, a program designed to provide high-quality dance training at lower costs, making dance more accessible to youth with limited resources and giving them the opportunity to grow and pursue their passion.

Natalie Braggs
Ms. Natalie’s dance journey began at just 4 years old in local community centers, where she explored a variety of styles and quickly developed a love for movement. Her passion and dedication earned her a spot as a founding member of The 154 Dance Project, where she continued to grow both as a dancer and a leader. The confidence and discipline she gained through competitive dance also shined in other areas of her life—as an excellent high school volleyball player and an award-winning hurdler.
After graduating, Natalie returned to The 154 Dance Project as the conditioning and tumbling instructor. By day, she works as a dedicated Behavioral Technician; by night (and weekends!), she’s right back in the studio and traveling with the team during competition season.
With a background in early childhood education and customer service, Natalie brings energy, empathy, and clear communication to every class. She’s passionate about mentoring young dancers and is known for her big heart, clear guidance, and unmistakably loud voice—earning her the unofficial title of “The Loudest Member,” past and present!
